Welcome back, poppets!

Things happened last week! Things that proved this is real and happening.

Floors were covered or ripped out where they’ll be replaced. Cabinets and appliances disappeared.

But then things got REALLY REAL.

We got to have our first weekly status Teams call (and the first, and hopefully LAST, big change order, thanks to asbestos work and opting to have solid core doors inside. Apparently doors have gone up in price – it was a shock but we think it will be worth it in the long run. Asbestos was a little bit of blessing in disguise – since the walls had to come out, we will get insulation in the walls and the electrical work will be a lot easier to access.

We weren’t able to go inside due to the asbestos work (which finished today actually!), but The Geek did capture this when he went to get the mail. Evidently this thing can take a licking and keep on ticking!
